Create Leave Type and Assign it to Leave Policy


Please find below the steps to setup a new leave type, and assign it to a Leave Policy, which you can assign to the specific staff to enable him to apply for this leave. 


 

A. CREATE LEAVE TYPE:

 

1.       Go to Leave Module => set up => Leave type - Click New  

 

2.       Appearance tab: Tick active , select and type in all information accordingly – click on save button.

 

3.       General Tab to tick Entitlement, if you allow advance application, then tick 'Advance  application' , tick the check box for half day application OR hourly application , if you are allowing.

 

4.       Entitlement Tab: Select the 'Distribution method' , Rounding method and Prorate Method accordingly

 

5.       Suspend Tab = this is further set up. You may choose which one will be applicable for your  leave.

 

6.       Eligible Tab = this is further set up. You may choose which one will be applicable for your  leave.

 

 

B. CREATE ALLOCATION TABLE:

 

1.         Go to Setup / Allocation Table / click 'New' / give a new name / select the Range Basis to 'Service Year' / enter the description / save / below in the grid click on '+' symbol / key in the record as below Exceeding>=0 and Exceeding<=99, Entitlement to number of days as per your requirement.

 

C. CREATE AND ASSIGN THE LEAVE TYPE TO LEAVE POLICY:

 

1.       Go to Leave Module / Setup menu / Leave Policy / Click 'New' / key in the name for the new leave policy / select the Range Basis as 'Branch' / set the 'Leave Cycle Method' / set the 'Calender Start Month' / key in the Description (Optional)  / Save. 

 

2.       Select the specific new Leave Policy / below click on '+' symbol / below in the highlighted field under the Leave type id , click on the drop down menu / select the new leave type id / on the right side under the Allocation field click on the drop down button to select the new Allocation table / click 'Save' .


 

D.   At Leave Module / click on 'Leave Details' icon /select the specific staff's record / click on Policy folder tab check if the specific leave policy has been assigned / Click on '+' symbol / click on the drop down button in the highlighted area to select the leave policy / click on the tick symbol /

      close.                                                                 

                                                          

E.    At Leave Module / click on 'Process leave' /click on 'Initialize' / select the specific leave policy / click  'Next' / select the new leave type id / click 'next' / double the specific employee record or records on the left / click on 'Confirm'
