Handling Importation of Goods

In the scenario of goods imported, GST is applied to the total value of the import including duty, and expenses related to the import. This scenario explains how to ensure the proper records when the import is handled by an agency or shipping company. Please download the attached file.

    Dear Li Zhen Yap,

    My company have import goods:-

    purchase goods RM5,473.73, when declaration done, the K1 Form shown RM5,852.61 (CIF) and import GST is RM351.16 (CIF X 6%), paid by our forwarder on behalf of us.

    how to key in this entry in ubs sage 2015 accounting system? (v.9.9.2.0.)

    I'am using sage ubs nine version 9.9.2.1. For rounding Mechanism in Billing and Inventory, it is only Sale Tax Inovice only ? How about Purchase Tax Invoice ? Kindly advise. Tahnks

    Thank you for your enquiry.

    Yes. It is for Sales Tax Invoice.

    As for the Purchase Tax Invoice (Supplier Invoice), we have allowed users to edit the tax amount as it can be difference based on Supplier Invoice rounding, exchange rates or etc.

    I'm also facing same problems with Jennifer Kam, When i key in as manual for input tax & IM for Tax code. nothing appears in Good & Service report.
    i'm using version v.9.9.2.1
    Please help me for this matter.

    I did Import GST Entry in UBS Accounting and select the input tax ,IM tax code for the transaction but when go to Report(5) , Good and Service Tax (A), Malaysia GST (3) , Goods serivce tax report (1) is not shown , WHY ??
