How to restore backup data in Sage 50?

Scenario:

How do I restore data in Sage 50?


Solution:

restoration link will be automatically created at the database restoration listing after a backup process is executed. This approach made the restoration process easier where you can easily chooses the target backup set to be restored with minimal effort. To restore:

  1. Login to Administrator Core module.
  2. Go to [Data Management > Restore > Restore Company Data].
  3. Clikc on the Restore link for the chosen backup set from the restoration listing.
  4. Follow the wizard and wait until the restore process finished.

Addition Note:

You may encouter situation where target restore link is not listed at the restoration listing. This situation occur when restoring from a backup given by others. In this situation, please follow the steps below:

  1. Login to Administrator Core module.
  2. Create a new empty company database by using Create Company Wizard.
  3. Go to [Data Management > Restore > Restore Company Data].
  4. Click the Restore icon from the ribbon bar.
  5. Choose the company where newly created from steps 1.
  6. Select the location where the backup set located.
  7. Follow the wizard and wait until the restoration process completes.
